This goes to show you, you don't need a million dollar set up or even a 10,000 set up to make amazing music. I really like this guy and his production and whole style of DJing house music is Ill!!! if you ever get a chance to see him live I suggest you do.

DJ Runnin Things Blends

Prior to Ableton doing mashups (blends is what they were really called and I do really like the word blends but ill save the semantics) were a pain in the ass. One of the blend records that always stood out to me was DJ Runnin Things. These blend records were really produced rather then just a live turntable blend. What I always loved about Runnin Things mixes were how he/she(I never met the dj so I don't know) would change beats every couple of bars, and the mixes clean, never sloppy and often scratching in the next beat. I can say that my style of making remixes was influenced by Runnin Things records, he/she made a bunch but the one that really stood out were the Groove Theory Tell Me mixes as well as Soul 4 Real If you want it. These were soo big they were regular staples on FunkMaster Flex Street Jam Show in the 90's. I remember the day I was actually able to get these at Rock N Soul...I was in LOVE. Anyway I want to share these with you and I put on the buju Banton mix on there for good measure as well.
